Prior to 2008 Professor Andrew Yule organized more then 20 Short Courses on atomization and spray science and technology. They attracted 600 registrants from industry, universities and research organisations in the UK, mainland Europe and further afield. This is a modified and updated version of the new 2-day course that was held 3 times since 2010. It addresses the need for a thorough introduction to the subject and an overview of the important aspects such as atomizer design, measurement, and modelling. Please download the Course Leaflet for full information.

It is an intensive 2-day course, held in central Manchester, that focuses
on material that is of direct use to (a) those entering the field of design, development or use of aerosol or spray systems, or (b) researchers who are relatively new to the subject area,
or (c) more experienced engineers and scientists who wish to broaden their field of knowledge.
Extensively illustrated lectures are interspersed with videos, and demonstrations of
instruments, sprays and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
The presenters have been involved for many years in the design, application, performance characterisation and prediction of atomization and two phase flow systems and they have worked closely with
many major companies.
